First, check for power by testing the voltage, ensuring to follow safety guidelines and verifying the plug is correctly positioned. If there's power, the thermal motor protection might have activated; disconnect the pump, let it cool, and identify what caused it to overheat. Other potential issues include a blocked pump wheel, which you should clear, or a blocked/defective floating switch (if in automatic mode), which you should unblock or clean. If the capacitor or floating switch is defective, contact customer service.
