Why does the spindle overload and the relay jump in my Tailift TPR1230 Drill?

  If the spindle overloads and the relay jumps in your Tailift Drill, several factors could be at play. It might be due to an oversized drill bit, a feed rate that's too fast, or an operation that doesn't comply with the speedometer and automatic feed rate table. It could also be due to a blown fuse or low voltage. To address this, power off the drill if the drill bit is too big. Open the control box if the feed rate is too fast. If the operation is not in compliance with the speedometer and the automatic feed rate table, press the relay switch to open three minutes after the spindle stops (blue Button). Close the control box if the fuse burned out. Power on if the voltage is too low.

  If the drill bit breaks in your Tailift Drill, stop the spindle and press down the emergent stop button. Push the gearbox backwards. Pinch the end of the broken bit with pliers, then rotate counter clockwise and pull it out upwards.

  If the screw tap breaks in your Tailift Drill, stop the spindle and press down the emergent stop button. Using a thread releaser, rotate the screw tap counter clockwise until it comes out. If it is impossible to pull it out, you may think to melt it out with EDM or declare it unusable.

  If a person gets entangled in the Tailift Drill, immediately press down the emergent stop button and power off the machine. Then, switch the speed change lever to the highest gear. Rotate the spindle with hands counter clockwise (if the spindle moved clockwise before, then its reverse direction is counter clockwise now) until the person is free.
