Battery replacement
If you notice that the distance between the
remote control unit and the receiver within
which correct operation is possible
becomes shorter, it indicates that the
batteries are nearly exhausted. In this
case, replace both batteries with new
ones.
Precautions concerning batteries
© Be sure to insert the batteries with
correct positive (+) and negative (-)
polarities as indicated in the battery
compartment.
© Do not use an old battery and a new
battery atthe same time.
© Use batteries of the same type. Never
use batteries of different types
together, even when they have the
same shape.
@ Both rechargeable and _ non-
rechargeable batteries can be used.
Refer to the precautions on their labels
before use.
© Do not heat or disassemble batteries
and never dispose of old batteries by
throwing them in a fire.
Cautions on Use of the Remote Control
Unit
© Even if the remote control unit is
operated within the effective range,
remote control operation may be
impossible
if there is any obstacle between the
receiver and the remote control unit or
if it is outside the effective angle.
© |f the remote control unit is operated
near other appliances which generate
infrared rays, or if other remote controls
using infrared rays are used near the
receiver, it may operate incorrectly. The
opposite is also true, and other
appliances may work incorrectly.
© Do not place books or other objects on
the remote control unit as they could
press its buttons and the batteries could
become exhausted more quickly.
@ When the remote control unit is not to
be used for an extended period (more
than a month), remove its batteries to
prevent them from leaking.
If they leak, wipe away the liquid inside
the battery compartment and replace
the batteries with new ones.
@ The remote control unit can only control
the components driving the speakers.

Précautions a observer
Mise en place de l'appareil
Comme cet appareil incorpore un
amplificateur de puissance, il dégage de la
chaleur par l'arriére et par le haut; cet
appareil doit étre installé dans un endroit
bien aéré. Eviter l'installation od il pourrait
tre exposé a des températures élevées,
au soleil, a I'humidité et a la poussiére. Si
les cordons de raccordements sont trop
longs, en particulier ceux utilisés pour
raccorder les enceintes acoustiques, la
qualité du son peut étre dégradée. Par
conséquent, il est recommandé d'utiliser
des cordons de raccordement les plus
courts possible.

* Les touches avec une marque IMUM
peuvent étre commandées avec la
télécommande (tant que le cordon
d'alimentation de |'AG-550 est branché
sur une prise secteur).

@ Touche d'alimentation (POWER)
Appuyer sur cette touche pour mettre
l'alimentation; l'indicateur 4 diode LED
incorporé dans le bouton de commande
VOLUME s‘allumera.
Appuyer & nouveau pour couper
l'alimentation; l'indicateur s‘éteindra.
Remarque:
Quand I'alimentation est mise, la
fréquence de la derniére émission regue
apparait dans l'affichage de fréquence/
mode de syntoniseur, et la fonction
(FUNCTION) avant la coupure de
l'alimentation sera sélectionnée.
@ Touches de mémoire de station
(STATION MEMORY)
Ces touches sont utilisées pour
programmer des fréquences d'émission
dans la mémoire de préréglage et les
rappeler.
Pour rappeler les canaux préréglés de 1a
8, appuyer temporairement sur la touche
voulue; pour rappeler les canaux préréglés
de 9 a 16, appuyer pendant une seconde
ou plus.

Le signal infrarouge transmis a partir du
boitier de télécommande entre dans le
récepteur par cette fenétre. Diriger le haut
du boitier de télécommande vers cette
