6.8 ADJuST THE SEnSITIVITy OF
THE ACCELEROMETER
The sensors and software that measure
movement in Speed & Distance mode
are adjustable. In nearly all cases, level
1 (least sensitive) is ideal for most users
and will produce the most accurate
results. If you have a very gentle/smooth
gate, a more sensitive setting may be
necessary.
Note: A discrepancy in actual distance
walked and the distance measured by the
Traileader is not usually a sensitivity issue
but rather an adjustment needed to the
stride lengths. The exception to this rule
is when a “normal” user has entered a
higher sensitivity than is necessary.
