Preparation
Before tuning, memorize a radio station (see pages 11-12).

Automatic scanning (when you select “MANUAL” in
step 3):
Press and hold » or « until the displaved rrequency begins to change.
®The changing of the displayed frequency will automatically stop if a
brcadcast station frequency is located during the tuning pracess.
@\Vhen there is excessive interference, the automatic scanning may not
function.

To cancel the automatic scanning, press + or « once again.
5 | Adjust the volume level as you like.
For tuning by remoie control (when you select “PRESET”
in step 3 above):
Specify the channel you want with the numeric buttons (see page
41-42).
To select a two-digit channel:
Press 210 and then the two numbers you want within 10 seconds or
sO.

When the FM station is preset to “MONO”, the “STEREO” indicator
will not light up even if a stereo broadcast is being received.
Press AUTO/MONO.
The sound reception mode switches to “MONO” (monaural) and
“MONO” ‘Tights.
The sound will then be heard in monaural. If the broadcast signal is
weak, or if there is a large amount of interference, you will get a
clearer sound using I MON( O function.
To cancel the “MONO” mode, press the button again.
When “MONO” indicator goes oii:
Use this setting for normal listening. Both stereo and monaural
sounds can be heard as they are.

If you change frequencies in the “MONO” mode, the “MIONO” mode
will be cancelled.
One-touch play
| When the system is OFF, you can receive the station last tuned |
in when you press TUNER/BAND on the remote control.
The play will start with volume increasing gradually.
