Recording from compact discs Gib
The tape deck automatically reads the length of the loaded tape, and
then calculates which tracks go on which side of the tape so that no
track is cut in the middle at the end of either side.
Recording will begin from the first track of the disc shown on the
display. It will continue through the last track on disc 5 and will then
stop automatically.

@ One-touch editing is designed to record all the way through disc 5.
It you want to record just one CD, set it in tray 5.
® Use a tape of under 99 minutes.
e You cannot edit-record tracks numbering higher than 24.
@ Jn one-touch editing, you cannot record from programs that contain
selections from two or more discs.
Press &4 OPEN/CLOSE on deck, and then insert
a tape.
Press 4 OPEN/CLOSE once again to close the holder.
2 To record in Dolby B NR.
Press DOLBY NR and check “DO” is displayed.
Ek} Press REV MODE to select the reverse mode.
= Oneside will record, and then the tape will stop automat-
ically at the tape end.
=>: Both sides will record (forward side—reverse side), and
then the tape will stop automatically at the tape end.
cu"): Same as above (When you press AI EDIT, “ca=)” will be
automatically switched over to “[=”.),
4 Insert CDs in the trays. (For details, see page 19.)
Recording will begin from the first track of the disc shown on
the display.
5 Specify the disc (DISC 1-5) you want to start
recording from. Then, press Mi on the CD
changer.
[.q Press Al EDIT.
The deck will rewind the tape and recording will start. In the
meantime, “AI EDIT TAPE” will scroll across the display from
right to left. However, it will take a moment for recording to
actually begin.
To ston one-touch editina:
Press M@ on the cassette deck.
The CD changer also stops.
“EDIT OUT” will scroll across the display from right to left.

After recording the allotted tracks on side A, the cassette deck will
continue recording on side A and will make a blank portion on side
A in order to measure the proper length of the tape.

In one-touch editing, you cannot record from programs that contain
selections from two or more discs.
@) Perform steps 1-4 above, and then press CD and PROGRAM on
the remote control.
(2) Select the disc you want to record with DISC and the numeric
buttons (1-5).
(3) Select the track number from the remote control with the numeric
buttons.
(4) Repeat step @) until programming all tracks (max. 24 tracks).
(6) Press AI EDIT. Recording will begin.
After edii-recording has finished:
The tape deck automatically puts recording on standby. In the mean-
time, if “LINK” is flashed on the display, there is enough space on the
tape that you can continue recording trom another CD (see page 34).
If you want to link the tracks, do not press i on the CD changer.
