6.3 Locking of channels
You have the possibility to lock channels. If a locked channel is tuned in, you will see
a black screen with the message "Program not available".
A locked channel will be shown on the screen only after you have entered you PIN
number. If you passed by the blockade by entering your PIN the channel will be free
to be watched until the unit has been switched off or into standby mode again.
To lock a channel proceed as follows:
½ Call Main Menu with the MENU button.
½ Choose the menu line TV Programs to lock TV channels or Radio Programs to
lock radio channels by marking the corresponding line red with the help of the
cursor keys up/down.
½ Confirm with OK.
The sub-menu Programs appears.
½ Select the menu line Lock by marking the corresponding line red with the help of
the cursor keys up/down.
½ Confirm with OK.
The sub-menu Lock with the user defined channel list appears.
½ Now, select the channel you would like to lock with the help of the cursor keys
up/down.
½ Confirm with OK.
The channel will now be represented with a red cross.
½ Repeat this procedure until all desired channels are locked.
To undo locking, press OK again.
½ Leave the menu by pressing the MENU button.
½ To activate the child lock you still have to enter you PIN number (see 6.4
Changing the PIN) and turn the child lock on (see 5.2.2 Further basic settings).
6.4 Changing the PIN
The factory setting of the PIN is 0000. To activate the channel blockade you need to
enter your personal PIN number.
Warning! You must not forget your PIN number. If this occurs anyway, please
contact your local dealer!
To change the PIN number, proceed as follows:
½ Call Main Menu with the MENU button.
½ Choose the menu line Settings by marking the corresponding line red with the
help of the cursor keys up/down.
½ Confirm with OK.
The sub-menu Settings appears.
½ Select Changing of PIN with the help of the cursor keys up/down.
½ Confirm with OK.
½ Now enter your new PIN with the help of the number keys.
½ Enter it again.
½ On pressing OK you will return to the menu Settings again.
