6.4.2 Switching point and hysteresis
Please note when entering values for switching point and hysteresis:
• Both values are entered in the units selected under Unit
(see section 6.2). Values between 0 mA/4 mA
• Both values are entered in the units selected under Unit
(see section 6.2). Values between 0 mA/4 mA
between the converted values of these limits in the selected units; for
conversion using the parameters Zero point and Conversion factor see
section 6.3.2
You can enter values
between 0 mA and 24 mA and
between the converted values of these limits in the selected units; for
conversion using the parameters Zero point and Conversion factor see
section 6.3.2
• The hysteresis should be > 1 % of the switching point, in order to
prevent rapid switching of the relay.
• As shown in the illustration of the switching behaviour in section 6.4.1,
for switching mode MAX the value Switching point - Hysteresis must
be > 0 and for switching mode MIN the value Switching point +
Hysteresis ≤ upper limit switching point entry.
6.4.3 Alarm freeze
The Restart inhibit ensures that temporary out-of-range conditions are
not overlooked by operating personnel. If Restart inhibit On is selected,
the new state remains valid after a relay has tripped, until one of the
following actions: Device restarted, ESC key pressed. Either of these
actions will reset the relay unless the out-of-range condition still
pertains.
