The last part of 20 cm of the refrigerant piping, at the end
of the connection, may not be bended. If this part is bend
leakage can occur; this is not covered by the warranty.

ATTENTION
Disconnecting the refrigerant piping of an air conditioner has to be done according the
applicable national statutory provisions. Connecting the refrigerant piping may only be
performed by an authorised technician.
Disconnect the fittings:
Step 1: Turn off the air conditioner and pull the plug out of the socket.
Step 2: Wait five minutes until the pressure in the piping between the indoor and outdoor unit is compen-
sated.
Step 3: Push the lever of the male fitting up, and as far back as possible.
Step 4: Pull the unlock bushing on the female fitting loose to disconnect the fittings.
Step 5: Put the cover and the plug back in position to protect the unit against dust.
8.2 Connecting the refrigerant piping for the TS 8xx models.
a. Provide the pipe ends with a flare with swivel or similar screw connection.
b. Inner part: Secure the swivel nut manually to the piping of the indoor unit and secure the swivel nut
with an open-end wrench and a torque wrench as shown in Fig. 13.
c. Outer part: Secure the swivel nut manually to the fittings on the valves of the outdoor unit and
secure the swivel nut with an open-end wrench and a torque wrench as shown in Fig. 13.

d. Apply the correct torques (see table 1) to prevent damaging the piping, fittings and nuts.

e. Insulate the fittings on the indoor unit with insulation to prevent condensed water leakage.
f. Wrap the piping, connecting cable and outlet hose, situated behind the indoor unit, with tape into
a solid bundle. This will make the mounting of the indoor unit to the mounting plate easier.

ATTENTION
Cupper piping must be insulated separately.

ATTENTION
Use extreme caution when bending the piping. Always assure the piping is bend and not kinked.
In case of a kinked pipe: replace the entire pipe or the kinked part because this could cause a
refrigerant leak and lead to malfunctioning of the air conditioner.
