2. Set the amplitude of the reference signal to 5 vertical divi¬
sions by adjusting the VOLTS/DIV and VOLTS/DIV Variable
(CAL) controls.
3. Disconnect the reference signal and apply the unknown sig¬
nal to the same channel input. Adjust the vertical position of
the waveform so that its bottom edge just touches the 0%
line on the crt.
4. Horizontally position the waveform so that its topmost fea¬
tures cross the center vertical graticule line (see Fig¬
ure 3-4).
