Saving a Waveform to File. When you push the File Details side-bezel menu button, the oscilloscope changes the side-bezel
menu contents. The following table describes these side-bezel menu items for saving data to a mass storage file.
Side-bezel menu button
Description
Internal File Format (.ISF) Sets the oscilloscope to save waveform data from analog channels (and ma th and reference
waveforms derived from analog channels), in internal waveform save file (.isf) format. This format
is the fastest to write and creates the smallest-sized file. Use this format if you intend to recall a
waveform to reference memory for viewing or measuring.
The oscilloscope cannot save digital waveforms in an .isf file format.
Spreadsheet File Format
(.CSV)
Sets the oscilloscope to save waveform data as a comma-separated data file compatible with
popular spreadsheet programs. This file cannot be re called to reference memory.
Saving an Analog Waveform to R eference Memory. To save an analog waveform to nonvolatile memory inside the
oscilloscope, select the waveform that you want to save, pus h the Save Waveform screen button, and then select one of the
reference waveform locations. F our-channel models have fo ur reference locations. Two-channel models have two reference
locations.
Saved waveforms contain only th e most recent acquisition. Gra y-scale information, if any, is not saved.
