d . Set the FG 5010 MODE to PH LOCK .
e . Set the function generator to any frequency between
20 Hz and 9.999 MHz .
f . Set the
function generator to
produce
a
4 volt peak -
to
peak
square
wave about a zero
volt
reference .
g . Set the FG 5010 PHASE to any value between ° and
+ 90 °
.
h .
CHECK -
frequency out
equals
frequency in .
i . Set
the
function
generator to
any
frequency
above
10 MHz .
j . Set the FG 5010 PHASE to any value between ° and
±
45 ° .
k .
CHECK -

tion generator output to the FG 5010 TRIG / GATE IN
connector .

coaxial cable from
the
FG 5010 OUTPUT connector to the oscilloscope vertical
input .
c . Set the FG 5010 to plus ( + ) SLOPE .
d . Set the FG 5010 to TRIG MODE .
e . Set the FG 5010 frequency to 20 MHz .
f . Set the function generator to any frequency between
.002 Hz and 20 MHz .
g . Set the function generator amplitude to 250 mV peak
to
-
peak
.
h . Vary the function generator offset from +300 mV to
+700 mV if P1032 on Loop 2 is set to 0.5 V ( –200 mV to
+200 mV if
P1032 is set to
V ) .
i . CHECK - an output signal is displayed within this
range .
j . Set the FG 5010 Trigger Threshold Level to zero volts .
NOTE
Refer to the Loop 2 Board Adjustment Location dia
gram in
the
pullout
pages for the
location of this
jumper ( P1032 ) .
k . Set the
FG 5010 to
minus ( - )
SLOPE
and
repeat
step
j .
I. Remove all connections .

a . Connect a precision 50 M coaxial cable from the func
tion
generator
output to the
FG 5010 AM
INPUT
connector .
b . Connect a precision 50 coaxial cable from the
FG 5010 OUTPUT connector to the oscilloscope vertical
input .
