Measurement
Standby and automatic switch-off
11
If you are not carrying out any more frequency correc-
tions the flashlight transmitter automatically switches
off after approx. 30 s. In the display the set frequency
is ”frozen”. This STAND BY mode is shown by a
flas-
hing HOLD
in the display.
Activate the key <Stand by>, reactivate the flash
tubes of the last selected frequency.
If you do not reactivate your instrument and it is in
the STAND-BY mode there is a POWER-OFF after
approx. 15 minutes.
If do not want the instrument to be switched off
you should activate the STAND-BY key right at the
beginning of the measurement. The constant dis-
play HOLD
reminds you that you have avoided automatic
switch-off. The flashlight transmitter now transmits
light impulses until you switch off the instrument via
On/Off or you return to the normal mode by pres-
sing the key <Stand by> .
When you have finished your measurement you
can switch off the stroboscope by pressing the
On/Off key. The selected frequency is not saved
after automatic or manual switch-off. When the
instrument is switched on again the instrument
starts out with the setpoint value (16.66 Hz/1000
rpm).
