Maintenance
Changing the flash tubes
In order to avoid damaging the disk, remove
the reflector from the probe by sliding it
directly up and over the disk (some gentle
twisting may be required).
When opening the stroboskop, please note:
On the either side of the probe you will find a
grooved seam.
To open the probe, slid down the black rubber
piece at the base of the probe. Next, insert the
head of a screw-driver into the seam of the two
housing plates and gently pry the two halves
apart. The interior of the probe does contain
an unfixed spring (located by the lower arrow on
the diagram). Open cautiously to ensure
that the spring is not lost.
Once the board with the flash tube is exposed,
remove the three screws holding the flash tube
in place. Take out the flash tube.
When installing a new flash tube, please note:
1. In order to prolong its service life and
function do not touch the flash tube. Use
gloves when changing the flash tubes.
2. Ensure that the side of the flash tube market
in red is facing the appropriate direction (see
upper arrow on the diagram).
Replace the three screws. Snap the housing
plates back together. Snap the base back into
place. Set the reflector back in place. Replace
the securing ring, and slowly rotate the reflector
until the ring locks into place.
