DATA ENTRY KEYS
The data memories
The number of data memories available is determined by the ' partition'' you
set between data memory and program memory To display the current
state of partitioning, press 2nd [Part]' JJ . Pt (tor "partition") appears in
the display, followed by the number ol program steps and data memories
available- For example. Pt 70 3 indicates that 70 program steps and 3 data
memories are available
To partition ltie memory, press iSjjTi (Parti followed by the key
representing the desired number of data memories To partition 10. 11. or
12 data memories, use the <A>. <B>. or <C> keys respectively
Note : Refer to section 7 for additional information about partitioning the
calculator s memory
The calculator always has at least one and can have as many as 12 data
memories in which you can store numeric values The first to data
memories are represented by the digit keys 0D -! 9 the last two are
represented by the keys <A> and <B>. as shown In this table

If the calculator s memory is partitioned so that more than seven program
steps are available, less than 12 data memories are available
Note : Only data memones 0 through 3 are available when Ihe calculator is
in Ihe statistics mode Attempting to change Ihe memory partition In the
statistics mode causes an error condition
2nd [CM] — Clear Memories Kay
The find [CM] key clears the user data memories The display statistical
registers, and program steps are not affected
jjftQ; m — Store Memory Key
The STO] m key stores Ihe value shown In the display in user data memory
m For instance, the key sequence 3 STO i stores Ihe value 3 in user data
memory number t
Or CB [STO <B> stores the value 5 In user data memory number 11
Note : When 0 is displayed, you can dear a data memory by pressing
STO and the key representing Ihe number of the memory
