Area Under the Normal Curve
By combining statistical results with other capabilities of the calculator, you
can apply your calculator to a broad range ol statistical operations This
example demonstrates using the mteg-ation function to determine areas
under the normal curve
The math scores on page 28 have a mean of 81 16666667 and a standard
deviation of 12 12321006 Assuming the scores are normally distnbuted. find
the fraction of the population that can be expected to perform between two
given scores
Solve the problem by integrating the normal function
