ERROR CONDITIONS
Error Conditions
The error conditions listed in this section can occur in most calculator
modes These errors occur when you attempt to do the folkwing
General Error Conditions
I Calculate a result (including in data memones) outside the range
±1 * 10** to ±9 999999999999 * tO» or 0
2, Divide a number by zero
3. Use more than IS levels of open parentheses or more than 4 pending
operations
4 Calculate log , inx or 2nd t1/*l of zero
5 Calculate : tog . SuT. jFJ or: 2nd M of a negative number
6. Use ijpD or INV y* to calculate zero to the Oth power or root
7 Calculate x' of a number that is not 0 or a positive integer less than or
equal to 69
8. Calculate percent change when the old value is equal to zero.
9 U se JRV 2nd (P-HJ when both x and y are zero or when the sum of
the squares of x and y exceeds the upper limit of the calculator
10 C alculate tan ; of 90° or 270*, ttr/2 or 3*72 radians. 100 or 300 grads,
or their rotational multiples such as 450°
II Calculate IROS" or INV cos when the absolute vafue of the
displayed number is greater than t
12 Calculate INV hyp ten when the absolute value of the displayed
number ts greater lhan or equal to 1
13 Calculate INV hyp cos when Ihe displayed number is less lhan 1
14 Use : 2nd: [nPr] or 2nd [nCr] when n and r are not positive integers
15. Find permutations or combinations wiih more than three digits after the
decimal point
16 Follow STQ: with two memory arithmetic operations, instead ot an
operation and a valid data memory number, when using memory
arithmetic
17 Follow (HBD or £XC with an operation instead ot b valid data memory
number
18 Integrate with fewer than three data memories.
19 Use T?nd {Parti to increase the number of data memories to the point
that they interfere with the program memory
