24.3.1.1 ROM_UpdateUSB

Starts an update over the USB interface.

ROM Location:

ROM_APITABLE is an array of pointers located at 0x0100.0010.

ROM_USBTABLE is an array of pointers located at ROM_APITABLE[16].

ROM_UpdateUSB is a function pointer located at ROM_USBTABLE[58].

Parameters:

pui8USBBootROMInfo is a pointer to an array containing the values that are used to cus-

tomize the USB interface.

Description:

Calling this function commences an update of the ﬁrmware via the USB interface. This function

assumes that the USB interface has already been conﬁgured and the device is being clocked

by the PLL. By using the pui8USBBootROMInfo, the vendor ID, proudct ID, bus- versus self-

powered, maximum power, device version, and USB strings can be customized.

Returns:

Never returns.

Returns the current device address in device mode.
