4 Transporting, unpacking and setting-up
4.1 Transporting the heat pump
Caution During transportation and lifting of the entire heat pump (iTec XT To-
tal, iTec XT Compact, and iTec XT Total EQ), the front panel must al-
ways be in place as it locks the other panels in position.
Caution The outdoor unit must always be transported and stored upright in a
dry environment. Secure the heat pump so that it cannot tip over dur-
ing transportation.
Caution The outdoor unit must not be tilted more than 30° in any direction.
If the heat pump is tilted more, it may become seriously damaged as
the oil in the compressor can run out in the pressure pipe and there-
fore prevent normal function.
4.2 Unpacking
4.2.1 Unpack the heat pump
Warning Wear protective gloves to unpack, move, install, and service the unit to
avoid your hands being injured by the edge of the parts.
Caution Make sure to safely dispose of packing materials. Packing materials,
such as nails and other metal or wooden pallets may cause children
getting injured.
N
All the materials used for the manufacture and packaging of the air to
water heat pump are recyclable.
