sample pump tubing and clamp into position. Release the tension adjustment and allow the
nebuliser to free aspirate. Tighten the tension adjustment until the flow just stops then tighten
by one turn. Turn on the pump and, if necessary, increase the tension until a smooth flow is
produced. Do not over-tighten the pump clamps as it will result in excessive wear and tear of
the pump tubing and require replacement tubing at more frequent intervals.
