Lavatory Auxiliary Retention Tank
(Optional)
The l avatory main tonk moy be drained into the auxiliary tonk (if so
equipped) by opening t he manua l slide valve b et ween the two tonks.
This '
will pe rmit continued operation of lov · otory until coach con be
serviced ot o facili ty with disposal provisions.
Draining
In the event of engine or hea t ing system f ailure in freezing w ea ther,
tonks must
be dra i ned to preven t damage from freezing . Vo lve
necessary
to drain t on k is located in t he rear engine comportment and is
accessible when rear service doors ore opened .
IMPORTANT
Servicing lavatory tanks must normally be a cc omplis hed where
proper facilities are ava i lable . Draining instructions included in this
book are for use only in case of an emergency requiri ng draining of
tanks.
Before droining o chemical wo ~te tonk, position coach ovct o
receptacle or sewer inlet or other facilities to comply with loi:ol heo lth
regulations .
