Tiller handle type
1. Be sure to install the stop switch lock
to the stop switch, and attach the stop
switch lanyard securely to the operator
or to the operator's PFD (Personal Flo-
tation Device.)

2. Set the control lever in the Neutral
position.

3. Set the throttle grip to START position.

1. Choke knob
5. Pull the choke knob fully.

Choke is not necessary when the engine is
warm. Set the throttle grip to “RE-START”
position.

If engine does not start with 4 or 5 times
starting operation, push the knob back and
restart.
(For manual starter type)
This engine is equipped with a compres-
sion release mechanism.
