for the longest word in the scanned text. For best results, start scanning at the end of the
previous word to ensure that the desired word is captured in full. Also, sweep the
scanner beyond the end of the desired word to ensure a fast and fluid motion across the
desired word.
10. Q: How do I configure Scanmarker to scan text and say it out loud
at the same time?
A: First, check that you either selected “Say it Loud” button on the menu. Or checked
“Read out loud” checkbox in Scanmarker’s settings menu. You should then see a check
sign next to it. Then ensure that the “Scan as text” mode is selected as the scan mode.
Finally, check that your computer’s volume control is properly adjusted.
11. Q: Does Scanmarker support left-handed users?
A: Yes, it is possible to scan either from left-to-right or from right–to-left. You can choose
your preferred scanning direction from Scanmarker’s Settings menu.
