Cleaning the Fuel-Pickup Tube Screen
Removing the Fuel-Pickup Tube
The fuel-pickup tube, located inside the fuel tank, is equipped with a screen to help prevent
debris from entering the fuel system. Remove the fuel-pickup tube and clean the screen as
required.
1. Prepare the machine for maintenance.

2. Remove the 5 screws that secure the fuel-
sender cover
to the fuel tank , and
remove the cover.

3. Remove the 2-socket connector of the fuel-
sender harness
from the 2-pin connector of
the machine wire harness
.

4. Move the clamps that secure the hoses
to the fittings of the fuel sender inboard, and
remove the hoses from the fittings.
