10.Removetheoldbelt.
11.Slidethenewbeltovertherotatedhousing
covers,thedifferentialcoversections,andonto
thedifferentialpulleys.
12.Ensurethattheidlerpulleyispositionedagainst
thebacksideofthebelt.
13.Rotatebothhousingsbackintotheupright
positionandsecurethemtothesideplatewith
theboltsandnutsthatyoupreviouslyremoved.
14.Adjustthedifferentialbelttension;referto
AdjustingtheDifferentialBelt(page33).
15.Adjustthebelttensiononthetractiondrive
andreel-drivebelts;refertoAdjustingthe
Traction-DriveBelt(page33),andAdjustingthe
Reel-DriveBelt(page32).
16.Installthedifferential,tractiondrive,and
reel-drivecovers.

1.MovethetractioncontroltotheDISENGAGED
position.
2.LoosentheretainerthatsecurestheV-beltcover
andpivotthecoveropen(Figure46).
3.T oincreasethecabletension,loosenthe
front-cablejamnutandtightentheback-cable
jamnut(Figure49)untilaforceof8to9N·m(6
to7lb)iscreatedtoengagethetractioncontrol.
