1.Removeanddiscardthenutsecuringtheboltand
lockwashertothespeedselectorlever.
2.Securethelevertothespeedselectorvalveusingthe
boltandlockwasherasillustratedinFigure3.

CheckingFluidLevels

Procedure
Beforestartingtheengineforthersttime,checkthe
engineoil,hydraulicuid,andenginecoolantlevels.
RefertoOperationformoreinformation.

ActivatingtheBattery
NoPartsRequired
Procedure
Thetractionunitisshippedwithadrybattery.Youmust
purchasebulkelectrolytewith1.260specicgravity
fromalocalbatterysupplyoutlet.
Batteryterminalsormetaltoolscouldshort
againstmetalcomponents,causingsparks.
Sparkscancausethebatterygassestoexplode,
resultinginpersonalinjury.
•Whenremovingorinstallingthebattery,do
notallowthebatteryterminalstotouchany
metalpartsofthetractionunit.
•Donotallowmetaltoolstoshortbetween
thebatteryterminalsandmetalpartsofthe
tractionunit.
1.Parkthetractionunitonalevelsurface,raisethe
loaderarms,andinstallthecylinderlocks.
2.Stoptheengineandremovethekey.
3.Removethefourboltssecuringthebatterycover
andremovethecover(Figure4).
