8.Inspectthenewlter(s)fordamagebylookinginto
thelterwhileshiningabrightlightontheoutside
ofthelter.Holesinthelterwillappearasbright
spots.Inspecttheelementfortears,anoilylm,or
damagetotherubberseal.Ifthelterisdamaged
donotuseit.
9.Ifyouarereplacingthesafetylter,carefullyslide
thenewlterintothelterbody(Figure29).
Important:Topreventenginedamage,always
operatetheenginewithbothairltersandcover
installed.
10.Carefullyslidetheprimarylteroverthesafetylter
(Figure29).Ensurethatitisfullyseatedbypushing
ontheouterrimofthelterwhileinstallingit.
Important:Donotpressonthesoftinsidearea
ofthelter.
11.Installtheaircleanercoverwiththesideindicatedas
UPfacingupandsecurethelatches(Figure29).
12.Closethehood.
ServicingtheEngineOil
Changeoilandlteraftertherst50operatinghours
andthenevery75operatinghoursthereafter.
Note:Changeoilmorefrequentlywhenoperating
conditionsareextremelydustyorsandy.

CH-4,CI-4orhigher)
CrankcaseCapacity:w/lter,0.84gal.(3.2l)
Viscosity:
FortemperaturesaboveF(-18°C),use15W-40
(preferred)or10W-30.
Fortemperaturesbelow32°F(0°C),use5W-30.

ServiceInterval:Aftertherst50hours
Every75hours
1.Starttheengineandletitrunforveminutes.This
warmstheoilsoitdrainsbetter.
2.Parkthetractionunitsothatthedrainsideisslightly
lowerthantheoppositesidetoensurethattheoil
drainscompletely.
3.Lowertheloaderarms,chockthewheels,stopthe
engine,andremovethekey.
Componentswillbehotifthetractionunithas
beenrunning.Ifyoutouchhotcomponentsyou
maybeburned.
Allowthetractionunittocoolbeforeperforming
maintenanceortouchingcomponentsunder
thehood.
4.Placeapanundertheoildraintube(Figure30).

plugandtightentheclamp.
