4.TurnthekeyswitchtotheSTARTposition.Checkthefollowingwhileinthe
STARTposition:
A.Glowindicatorlampisout.
B.Glowrelayisenergized.
C.Glowplugsareenergized.
D.Powerexistsatterminal1oftheglowcontroller.
Note:Ifthereisnopowertoterminal1oftheglowcontroller,checkthe
continuityofthecircuitryfromthekeyswitchtotheglowcontrollerand
performstep4again;refertotheElectricalSchematicsinAppendixA
(pageA–1).
5.Ifanyoftheconditionsinstep3arenotmetorpowertoterminal1existsand
anyoftheotherconditionsinstep4arenotmet:
A.Checkthecontinuityofthecircuitryfromthebatterytotheglowrelayand
glowplugs;refertotheElectricalSchematicsinAppendixA(pageA–1).
B.Checkthecontinuityofthecircuitryfromthebatterytokeyswitch,glow
controller,glowlamp,glowrelay,andground;refertotheElectrical
SchematicsinAppendixA(pageA–1).
C.Replacethepartsasnecessary.
