FreewheelingorUsingthe
Self-propelDrive
Youcanoperatethesnowthrowerwiththeself-propel
featureengagedordisengaged(freewheeling).
Tofreewheel,slidethewheelsinwardandinserttheaxle
pinsthroughtheouteraxleholes,butnotthroughthe
wheelhubs(Figure16).

Ifyouoperatetheenginewhentheairtemperatureis
above40°F(4°C),removethecarburetorheaterbox
(Figure18).

4.Removethefastenersthatsecurethecarburetor
heaterboxinplace(Figure18).
Note:Installthesefastenersintheirholesforsafe
keeping.
5.Liftthecarburetorheaterboxupandawayfrom
theengine.
6.Disconnectthegreengroundwireclipunderthe
throttle(Figure19).
