Why won't my Toro 38614 engine start?
    • D
      David ObrienAug 11, 2025
If your Toro Snow Blower engine won't start, several factors could be the cause. Ensure the key is in the ignition and in the On position. Check that the choke is in the On position and the primer has been pressed 3 times. Verify the fuel shutoff valve is open and the throttle is in the Fast position. Make sure the fuel tank has fresh gasoline and the spark plug wire is securely connected. Inspect the spark plug for damage or incorrect gap, and ensure the fuel vent cap isn't restricted. Finally, check that the engine oil level in the crankcase is correct.

    • S
      shepherdbrettAug 16, 2025
If your Toro Snow Blower runs but doesn't discharge snow well, first ensure the throttle is in the Fast position. Try shifting to a lower gear, and reduce the amount of snow you're trying to clear per swath. Avoid overloading the machine with heavy, wet snow. Check for and clear any blockage in the discharge chute.
