•Donotllgasolinecontainersinsideavehicle
oronatruckortrailerbedbecauseinterior
carpetsorplastictruckbedlinersmayinsulate
thecontainerandslowthelossofanystatic
charge.
•Whenpractical,removegas-powered
equipmentfromthetruckortrailerandrefuel
theequipmentwithitswheelsontheground.
•Ifthisisnotpossible,thenrefuelsuch
equipmentonatruckortrailerfromaportable
container,ratherthanfromagasolinedispenser
nozzle.
•Ifagasolinedispensernozzlemustbeused,
keepthenozzleincontactwiththerimofthe
fueltankorcontaineropeningatalltimesuntil
fuelingiscomplete.
RecommendedGasoline
Usefresh,clean,unleadedregulargasolinesuitablefor
automotiveuse(87pumpoctaneminimum).Leaded
gasolinemaybeusedifunleadedregularisnotavailable.
Important:Neverusegasolinecontaining
methanol,gasolinecontainingmorethan10%
ethanol,gasolineadditives,orwhitegasbecause
enginefuelsystemdamagecouldresult.
FillingtheFuelTank
Thefueltankcapacityisapproximately5USgallons
(19L).
Note:Thefueltankcapcontainsagaugewhichshows
thefuellevel;checkitfrequently.
1.Shuttheengineoffandsettheparkingbrake.

tank,(bottomofthellerneck).Thisspaceinthe
tankallowsgasolinetoexpand.Donotoverll.

Pre-StartingChecks
Checkthefollowingitemseachtimeyoubeginusing
thesprayerfortheday:
•Checkthetirepressure.
Note:Thesetiresaredifferentthancartires;they
requirelesspressuretominimizeturfcompaction
anddamage.
•Checkalluidlevelsandaddtheappropriate
amountofspecieduids,ifanyarefoundtobe
low .
•Checkthebrakepedaloperation.
•Checktoseethatthelightsareworking.
•Turnthesteeringwheeltotheleftandrightto
checksteeringresponse.
•Checkforoilleaks,looseparts,andanyother
noticeablemalfunctions.Makesuretheengineisoff
andallmovingpartshavestoppedbeforechecking
foroilleaks,looseparts,andothermalfunctions.
Ifanyoftheaboveitemsarenotcorrect,notifyyour
mechanicorcheckwithyoursupervisorbeforetaking
thesprayeroutfortheday.Yoursupervisormaywant
youtocheckotheritemsonadailybasis,soaskwhat
yourresponsibilitiesare.
