Thelterandoilarechangedatthesametime.Donotuse
theoilagain.Oncethenewlterisinstalled,andtheoilis
added,anyairinthesystemmustbepurged.
Thebleedingprocessisrepeateduntiltheoilremainsatthe
FULLCOLDlineinthereservoirafterpurging.Failureto
properlyperformthisprocedurecanresultinirreparable
damagetothetransaxledrivesystem.
RemovingHydraulic-SystemFilters
1.Stoptheengine,waitforallmovingpartstostop,allow
theenginetocool,removethekey,andengagethe
parkingbrake.
2.Locatethelterandguardsoneachtransaxle-drive
system(Figure69).
3.Removethreescrewssecuringthelterguardand
guard(Figure69).

1.Applyathincoatofoilonthesurfaceoftherubber
sealofeachlter.
2.Turnthelterclockwiseuntiltherubbersealcontacts
thelteradapter,thentightenthelteranadditional
3/4to1fullturn.
