16.Applyathinlmofcleanoiltotherubbergasketon
thenewlter.
17.Installthereplacementoilltertothemountingpad.
18.Turntheoillterclockwiseuntiltherubbergasket
contactsthepad,thentightenthelteranadditional
2/3to1turn(

RemovingtheSparkPlug
1.Disengagetheblade-controlswitch,movethemotion
controlsoutwardtotheparkposition,stoptheengine,
andremovethekey.
2.Pullthewireoffthesparkplug(Figure36).
3.Cleanaroundthesparkplugtopreventdirtfromfalling
intotheengineandpotentiallycausingdamage.
Note:Duetothedeeprecessaroundthesparkplug,
blowingoutthecavitywithcompressedairisusually
themosteffectivemethodforcleaning.Thesparkplug
ismostaccessiblewhentheblowerhousingisremoved
forcleaning.
4.Removethesparkplugandmetalwasher.
