Theignitionswitchhas3positions:OFF,RUN,andSTART.
ThekeyturnstoSTARTandmovesbacktoRUNupon
release.TurningthekeytotheOFFpositionshutsoffthe
engine;however,alwaysremovethekeyfromtheignition
switchwhenleavingthemachinetopreventsomeonefrom
accidentallystartingtheengine(Figure6).
Throttle/ChokeControl
Thethrottleandchokearecombinedinto1control
lever.Thethrottlecontrolstheenginespeedandhasa
continuous-variablesettingfromtheSLOWpositiontothe
FASTposition.Engagethechokebymovingtheleverpast
theFASTsettinguntilitstops(Figure6).
Itmaybenecessarytoholdtheleveragainstthestop,inthe
chokeposition,whiletryingtostarttheengine.
Note:Awarmorhotenginemaynotrequirechoking.
Blade-ControlSwitch(PowerTakeoff)
Theblade-controlswitch,representedbyapowertakeoff
(PTO)symbol,engagesanddisengagespowertothemower
blades(Figure6).

Themotion-controlleversarespeed-sensitivecontrolsof
independent-wheelmotors.Movingaleverforwardor
backwardturnsthewheelonthesamesideforwardorin
