Connectagardenhosetothewashoutttingwashouttting
topreventgrassbuildupforimprovedmulchactionand
clippingdispersal.
Important:Youcanwashthemachinewithmild
detergentandwater.Donotpressurewashthemachine.
Avoidexcessiveuseofwater,especiallynearthecontrol
panel,engine,hydraulicpumps,andmotors.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceanddisengagethe
blade-controlswitch.
2.Movethemotion-controlleversoutwardtothePARK
position,shutofftheengine,removethekeyfromthe
ignitionswitch,andwaitforallmovingpartstostop
beforeleavingtheoperatingposition.
3.Attachthehosecouplingtotheendofthemower
washouttting,andturnthewateronhigh(Figure65).
Note:Spreadpetroleumjellyonthewashouttting
O-ringtomakethecouplingslideoneasierandprotect
theO-ring.

5.Sitontheseatandstarttheengine.
6.Engagetheblade-controlswitchandletthemowerrun
for1to3minutes.
7.Disengagetheblade-controlswitch,shutoffthe
engine,removethekeyfromtheignitionswitch,and
waitforallmovingpartstostop.
8.Turnthewateroffandremovethecouplingfromthe
washouttting.
Note:Useanonmetallicscrapertoremoveany
remainingdebrisifnecessary.
9.Runthemoweragainfor1to3minutestoremoveany
excesswater.
WARNING
Abrokenormissingwashoutttingcould
exposeyouandotherstothrownobjectsor
bladecontact.Contactwithbladeorthrown
debriscancauseinjuryordeath.
•Replacebrokenormissingwashouttting
immediately,beforeusingmoweragain.
•Neverputyourhandsorfeetunderthe
mowerorthroughopeningsinthemower.
