EachHydraulicSystemFluidCapacity:1.5L(52oz)per
sidewithlterchange
CheckingtheHydraulicFluid
ServiceInterval:Every50hours—Checkthehydraulic-uid
level.
1.Positionthemachineonalevelsurface.
2.Disengagetheblade-controlswitch(PTO),movethe
motion-controlleverstotheNEUTRAL-LOCKposition,
andsettheparkingbrake.
3.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
4.Waitfortheengineandhydraulicsystemtocoolfor
10minutes.
Note:Theuidlevelonthedipstickisincorrectifyou
checktheuidwhenthemachineishot.
5.Movetheseatforward.
6.Cleantheareaaroundthedipsticksofthehydraulic
systemreservoirs(Figure94).
7.Remove1dipstickfromthehydraulicreservoir(Figure
94).
8.Wipethedipstickoffandthreadthedipstickintothe
reservoir.
9.Removethedipstickandlookattheend(Figure94).
Note:Iftheuidlevelisattheaddmark,slowlypour
onlyenoughuidintothehydraulicreservoirtoraise
theleveltothefullorHline.
Important:Donotoverllthehydraulicunits
withuid,asdamagemayoccur.Donotrunthe
machinewiththeuidbelowtheaddmark.
10.Installthedipstick.
11.Repeatprocedurefortheoppositedipstick.

high-pressurehydraulicuid.
•Usecardboardorpapertondhydraulic
leaks.
•Safelyrelieveallpressureinthehydraulic
systembeforeperforminganyworkonthe
hydraulicsystem.
•Makesurethatallhydraulic-uidhoses
andlinesareingoodconditionandthatall
hydraulicconnectionsandttingsaretight
beforeapplyingpressuretothehydraulic
system.
