adjustmentboltbyrotatingitclockwise.Ifthedeck
istoohigh,loosenthesinglepointadjustmentbolt
byrotatingitcounterclockwise(

Note:Loosenortightenthesinglepointadjustment
boltenoughtomovetheheight-of-cutplate
mountingboltsatleast1/3thelengthoftheavailable
travelintheirslots.Thiswillregainsomeupand
downadjustmentoneachofthefourdecklinks.

ServicingtheCuttingBlades
Maintainsharpbladesthroughoutthecuttingseason
becausesharpbladescutcleanlywithouttearingor
shreddingthegrassblades.Tearingandshreddingturns
grassbrownattheedges,whichslowsgrowthand
increasesthechanceofdisease.
Checkthecutterbladesdailyforsharpness,andforany
wearordamage.Filedownanynicksandsharpenthe
bladesasnecessary.Ifabladeisdamagedorworn,
replaceitimmediatelywithagenuineTororeplacement
blade.Forconvenientsharpeningandreplacement,you
maywanttokeepextrabladesonhand.
DANGER
Awornordamagedbladecanbreak,andapiece
ofthebladecouldbethrownintotheoperator’s
orbystander’sarea,resultinginseriouspersonal
injuryordeath.
Inspectthebladeperiodicallyforwearor
damage.
Replaceawornordamagedblade.
BeforeInspectingorServicingthe
Blades
Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,disengagetheblade
controlswitch(PTO),andsettheparkingbrake.Turn
theignitionkeytoOff.Removethekey.
InspectingtheBlades
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
1.Inspectthecuttingedges(
Figure91).Iftheedges
arenotsharporhavenicks,removeandsharpenthe
blades.RefertoSharpeningtheBlades.
2.Inspecttheblades,especiallythecurvedarea
(
Figure91).Ifyounoticeanydamage,wear,oraslot
forminginthisarea(Figure91),immediatelyinstalla
newblade.
