Checkthatthebrakeisadjustedproperlybeforeadjusting.
1.Drivethemachineontoalevelsurface.
2.Disengagetheblade-controlswitch(PTO),movethe
motion-controlleverstotheNEUTRAL-LOCKposition,
andengagetheparkingbrake.
3.Shutofftheengine,waitforallmovingpartstostop,
andremovethekey.
4.Raisethebackofthemachineandsupportthemachine
withjackstands.
DANGER
Mechanicalorhydraulicjacksmayfailto
supportmachineandcauseaseriousinjury.
•Useajackstandwhensupportingthe
machine.
•Donotusehydraulicjacks.
5.Removethereartiresfromthemachine.
6.Removeanydebrisfromthebrakearea.
7.Rotatethedrive-wheelreleasehandletothereleased
position.RefertoUsingtheDrive-WheelRelease
Valves(page29).
8.CheckifthereisavisiblegapbetweentheL-bracket
andthelinkagestop(Figure75).

13.Repeatsteps9through13untilyouachieveavisible
gapandthewheelhubrotatesfreely.
14.Repeatthisprocedureforthebrakeontheopposite
side.
15.Rotatethedrive-wheelreleasehandletotheoperating
position;refertoUsingtheDrive-WheelReleaseValves
(page29).
16.Installthereartiresandtorquethelugnuts;referto
CheckingtheWheelLugNuts(page48).
17.Removethejackstands.
