1.Disengagetheblade-controlswitch(PTO),setthe
parkingbrake,andturntheignitionkeytoOff.
Removethekey.
2.Removegrassclippings,dirt,andgrimefromthe
externalpartsoftheentiremachine,especiallythe
engineandhydraulicsystem.Cleandirtandchafffrom
theoutsideoftheengine-cylinder-headnsandblower
housing.
Important:Youcanwashthemachinewithmild
detergentandwater.Donotpressure-washthe
machine.Avoidexcessiveuseofwater,especially
nearthecontrolpanel,engine,hydraulicpumps,
andmotors.
3.Checkthebrake.
4.Servicetheaircleaner;refertoServicingtheAir
Cleaner(page37).
5.Greasethemachine;refertoLubrication(page35).
6.Changethecrankcaseoil;refertoChangingtheEngine
Oil(page40).
7.Checkthetirepressure;refertoCheckingtheTire
Pressure(page48).
8.Changethehydrauliclters;refertoReplacingthe
HydraulicFiltersandHydraulicOil(page61).
9.Chargethebattery;refertoServicingtheBattery(page
45).
10.Scrapeanyheavybuildupofgrassanddirtfromthe
undersideofthemower,thenwashthemowerwith
agardenhose.
Note:Runthemachinewiththeblade-controlswitch
(PTO)engaged,andtheengineathighidlefor2to
5minutesafterwashing.
11.Checktheconditionoftheblades;refertoServicing
theCuttingBlades(page64).
12.Preparethemachineforstoragewhennon-useoccurs
over30days.Preparethemachineforstorageas
follows:
A.Addapetroleum-basedstabilizer/conditionerto
fuelinthetank.Followmixinginstructionsfrom
thestabilizermanufacturer.Donotuseanalcohol
basedstabilizer(ethanolormethanol).
Note:Afuelstabilizer/conditionerismost
effectivewhenmixedwithfreshfuelandusedat
alltimes.
B.Runtheenginetodistributeconditionedfuel
throughthefuelsystem(5minutes).
C.Stoptheengine,allowittocool,anddrainthefuel
tank;refertoServicingtheFuelTank(page44).
D.Restarttheengineandrunituntilitstops.
E.Disposeoffuelproperly.Recycleasperlocal
codes.
Important:Donotstore
stabilizer/conditionedfuelover90days.
13.Checkandtightenallbolts,nuts,andscrews.Repairor
replaceanypartthatisdamaged.
14.Paintallscratchedorbaremetalsurfaces.Paintis
availablefromyourAuthorizedServiceDealer.
15.Storethemachineinaclean,drygarageorstoragearea.
16.Removethekeyfromtheignitionswitchandkeepit
outofreachofchildrenorotherunauthorizedusers.
17.Coverthemachinetoprotectitandkeepitclean.
