Ensuretherampislongenoughsothattheanglewiththe
grounddoesnotexceed15degrees(Figure38).Onīat
ground,thisrequiresaramptobeatleast4timesaslongas
theheightofthetrailerortruckbedtotheground.Asteeper
anglemaycausemowercomponentstogetcaughtastheunit
movesfromtheramptothetrailerortruck.Steeperangles
mayalsocausethemachinetotiporlosecontrol.Ifloading
onornearaslope,positionthetrailerortrucksothatitis
onthedownsideoftheslopeandtherampextendsupthe
slope.Thiswillminimizetherampangle.

Loadingamachineontoatrailerortruckincreases
thepossibilityoftip-overandcouldcauseserious
