RemovingtheFilters
1.DisengagethePTO,movethemotion-controlleversto
theneutral-lockedpositionandsettheparkingbrake.
2.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforallmoving
partstostopbeforeleavingtheoperatingposition.
3.Pushdowntoreleasetheretainingclampsonthe
aircleanerandpulltheaircleanercoveroffofthe
air-cleanerbody(Figure44).
4.Cleantheinsideoftheaircleanercoverwith
compressedair.
5.Gentlyslidetheprimarylteroutoftheaircleaner
body(Figure44).Avoidknockingthelterintothe
sideofthebody.
6.Removethesecondarylteronlyifyouintendto
replaceit.
Important:Neverattempttocleanthesecondary
lter.Ifthesecondarylterisdirty,thenthe
primarylterisdamagedandyoushouldreplace
bothlters.
7.Inspecttheprimarylterfordamagebylookinginto
thelterwhileshiningabrightlightontheoutsideof
thelter.Holesinthelterwillappearasbrightspots.
