•Reducespeedanduseextremecautiononslopes.
•Removeormarkobstaclessuchasrocks,treelimbs,etc.
fromthemowingarea.Tallgrasscanhideobstacles.
•Watchforditches,holes,rocks,dips,andrisesthatchange
theoperatingangle,asroughterraincouldoverturnthe
machine.
•Avoidsuddenstartswhenmowinguphillbecausethe
mowermaytipbackwards.
•Beawarethatoperatingonwetgrass,acrosssteepslopes,
ordownhillmaycausethemowertolosetraction.Loss
oftractiontothedrivewheelsmayresultinslidinganda
lossofbrakingandsteering.
•Alwaysavoidsuddenstartingorstoppingonaslope.
Iftireslosetraction,disengagethebladesandproceed
slowlyofftheslope.
•Followthemanufacturer'srecommendationsforwheel
weightsorcounterweightstoimprovestability.
•Useextremecarewithgrasscatchersorotherattachments.
Thesecanchangethestabilityofthemachineandcause
lossofcontrol.
UsingtheRolloverProtectionSystem
(ROPS)
•Keeptherollbarinthefullyraisedandlockedposition
andusetheseatbeltwhenoperatingthemachine.
•Becertainthattheseatbeltcanbereleasedquicklyin
theeventofanemergency.
•Beawarethereisnorolloverprotectionwhentheroll
barisdown.
•ChecktheareatobemowedandneverfoldtheROPSin
areaswherethereareslopes,dropoffsorwater.
•Lowertherollbaronlywhenabsolutelynecessary.Donot
weartheseatbeltwiththerollbarfoldeddown.
•Checkcarefullyforoverheadclearances(i.e.branches,
doorways,electricalwires)beforedrivingunderany
objectsanddonotcontactthem.
Maintenanceandstorage
•Disengagedrives,lowerimplement,setparkingbrake,
stopengineandremovekeyordisconnectsparkplug
wire.Waitforallmovementtostopbeforeadjusting,
cleaningorrepairing.
•Cleangrassanddebrisfromcuttingunits,drives,mufers,
andenginetohelppreventres.Cleanupoilorfuel
spillage.
•Letenginecoolbeforestoringanddonotstorenear
ame.
•Shutofffuelwhilestoringortransporting.Donotstore
fuelnearamesordrainindoors.
•Parkmachineonlevelground.Neverallowuntrained
personneltoservicemachine.
•Usejackstandstosupportcomponentswhenrequired.
•Carefullyreleasepressurefromcomponentswithstored
energy.
•Disconnectbatteryorremovesparkplugwirebefore
makinganyrepairs.Disconnectthenegativeterminal
rstandthepositivelast.Reconnectpositiverstand
negativelast.
•Usecarewhencheckingblades.Wraptheblade(s)or
weargloves,andusecautionwhenservicingthem.Only
replacedamagedblades;neverstraightenorweldthem.
•Keephandsandfeetawayfrommovingparts.Ifpossible,
donotmakeadjustmentswiththeenginerunning.
•Chargebatteriesinanopenwellventilatedarea,away
fromsparkandames.Unplugchargerbeforeconnecting
ordisconnectingfrombattery.Wearprotectiveclothing
anduseinsulatedtools.
•Keepallpartsingoodworkingconditionandallhardware
tightened.Replaceallwornordamageddecals.
•UseonlyToroapprovedattachments.Warrantymaybe
voidedifusedwithunapprovedattachments.
