offthesaw,thenuseawedgetopryopenthecut
andreleasethesaw.
Ifyouarecuttingbranchesfromafallentreeorcutting
alogintolengths,supportthelogofftheground
(preferablyonasawbuck).
•Ifthelogissupportedonbothends,butnotinthe
middle,theloadisonthecenterofthelog.
–Startfromthetopandcutaboutathirdofthe
waythroughthelog(Figure21A).
–Makeasecondcutfromtheundersidetomeet
therstcut(Figure21B).Thiskeepsthelog
frompinchingthesaw.
