1.Ifthesidecoverisinstalledtothemachine,
loosenthe2captivenutssecuringthesidecover
tothemachineandremoveit(Figure34Aand
Figure34B).
2.Placethechainaroundthedrivesprocketon
thefrontendoftheguidebar,withthecutting
edgeofthechainteethonthetopofthebar
facingforwardasshowninthediagramonthe
sidecoverofthechainsaw(Figure34C).

thechaintensioningknobtotthestudinto
theholeintheguidebar.
5.Installthesidecover,butdonotfullytightenthe
captivenuts(Figure34D).
6.Adjustthechaintension;refertoAdjustingthe
ChainT ension(page21).
SharpeningtheChain
Yearlyorbeforestorage
Asharpchainensuresbettercuttingperformanceand
longerbatterylife.
Thechainneedstobesharpenedorreplacedifyou
mustforceitontothewood,orifitproducessawdust
insteadoffullwoodchips.
ContactanAuthorizedServiceDealertohavethe
chainsharpenedorreplaced.
