1.Positionthemachineonalevelsurface.
2.Disengagethepowertakeoff(PTO)andshutoffthe
engine.
3.Waitforallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingpositionandthensettheparkingbrake.
4.Cleantheareaaroundthecapandthellerneckofthe
hydraulictank(Figure75).

itmustbesurgicallyremovedwithinafew
hoursbyadoctorfamiliarwiththistype
ofinjury.Gangrenemayresultifthisis
notdone.
Keepyourbodyandhandsawayfrom
pinholeleaksornozzlesthateject
high-pressurehydraulicuid.
Usecardboardorpapertondhydraulic
leaks.
Safelyrelieveallpressureinthehydraulic
systembeforeperforminganyworkonthe
hydraulicsystem.
Makesureallhydraulic-uidhosesarein
goodcondition,andallthatthehydraulic
connectionsandttingsaretightbefore
applyingpressuretohydraulicsystem.
ReplacingtheHydraulicFluid
ServiceInterval:Every250hours—Changethehydraulic
lterandhydraulicoilwhenusingMobil
®
1oil.
Every500hours/Yearly(whichevercomes
rst)—Changethehydrauliclterandhydraulicoil
whenusingToro
®
HYPR-OIL
500hydraulicoil.
Note:Changethehydraulicuidmorefrequentlyinsevere
conditionsorinahotoperatingclimate.
WARNING
Hothydraulicuidcancausesevereburns.
Allowthehydraulicuidtocoolbeforeperforming
anymaintenancetothehydraulicsystem.
1.DisengagethePTOandsettheparkingbrake.
2.Stoptheengineandwaitforallmovingpartstostop
beforeleavingtheoperatingposition.
3.Removehydraulic-reservoircap.
4.Locatethefronthydraulichoseunderthehydraulic
tank,andplaceadrainpanunderthetank(Figure76).
