FrameConstruction:Precisionmachineddiecastalu-
minum cross member with two (2) bolt--on cast alumi-
num side plates.
Reel Construction: Reels are 21 inches (53.3 cm) in
length and 5 inch (12.7 cm) in diameter. High strength,
low alloy steel blades are thru hardened and impact re-
sistant.Reels areavailablein 8,11and14 bladeconfig-
urations.
Reel Bearings: Tw o (2) sealed stainless steel, deep
groove ball bearings support the reel shaft with inboard
seal for protection.
Reel Drive: The reel weldment shaft is a 1.350 inch
(34.3 mm) diameter tube with a drive insert threaded
into the left end. The reel drive insert has an internal
eight (8) tooth spline.
Height--of--Cut (HOC): Cutting height is adjusted on
thefrontrollerby two (2) vertical screws. EffectiveHOC
mayvarydependingonturfconditions,typeofbedknife,
roller type and installed attachments.
Bedknife: Replaceable, single edged, high carbon
steel bedknife is fastened to a machined cast iron bed-
bar with thirteen (13) screws. Optional bedknives are
available.
Bedknife Adjustment: Dual screw adjustment to the
reel; detents corresponding to 0.0007 inch (0.018 mm)
bedknife movement for each indexed position.
Front and Rear Rollers: Greaseless through--shaft
front and rear rollers are used with the Greensmaster
3250--D DPA cutting units. All greens rollers use the
same heavy duty ball bearing and seal package.
Counterbalance Weight: A cast iron w eight mounted
oppositetothehydraulicreelmotorbalancesthec utting
unit.
