4.Removethecontrolcoverandlowercoverfromthehandleassemblytoallow
accesstoupperendoftheclutchcable(item1inFigure52).
5.Removetheclutchcable(1)fromthelinkassembly(7)asfollows:
A.Loosenthelowercablejamnut(2)thatsecurestheclutchcabletothe
upperreceiverweldment(9).Slidetheclutchcablefromtheupper
receiverweldment.
B.Removethecablespring(3)fromthelinkassembly(7).Notethe
orientationofcablespringhookontheshaftassemblyforassembly
purposes.
6.Removetheclutchcable(1)fromthemachine.
InstallingtheClutchCable
1.Securetheclutchcable(item1inFigure52)totheclutchleverassemblyas
follows:
A.Installthecablespring(3)tothelinkassembly.Orientatethecablespring
hookendtowardfrontofthemachine.
B.Slidethecablehousingintotheupperreceiverweldment(9).Ensurethat
thejamnut(2),atwasherandlockwasherareonbothsidesofthe
bracket.Adjustjamnutssothatequalamountofcablethreadsarevisible
abovethejamnuts.Leavethejamnutssnuguntilnalcableadjustment.
2.Routetheclutchcable(item1inFigure53)tothetransmissionandinstall
thecableasfollows:
A.Slidethecableeyelet(3)totheclutchlever(5)andsecurewitha
retainingring(4).
B.Positiontheclutchcable(1)tothecastingslotoftheenginebasewitha
jamnut(2),atwasherandalockwasheroneachsideoftheslot.
3.Makenaladjustmentoftheclutchcableattheclutchcableleverassembly.
Adjustthecablejamnutstoremovetheslackintheclutchcable.
4.Checktheclutchcableadjustment;refertoOperator’sManual.
5.Installthelowercoverandcontrolcovertothehandleassembly.
6.Attachthesparkplugwiretotheenginesparkplug.
