ThrottleCableAdjustment
Ifanewthrottlecablemustbeinstalledorthecableisourofadjustment,adjust
thecableasfollows:
1.Parkthemoweronalevelsurface.
Note:Makesurethattheengineisatnormaloperatingtemperaturebefore
youadjustthethrottlecable.
2.StarttheengineandmovethethrottlelevertotheSLOWposition.
3.Loosentheclampretainingcableconduit.
4.MakesurethatthethrottlecontrolisintheSLOWpositionandmovethecable
conduituntil1900rpm.
5.Tightenthescrewtosecurethethrottlecableconduit.
6.Checktheenginespeedwithatachometer:
A.Lowidlespeedshouldbe1,800to2,000RPM;refertoOperator’s
Manual.
B.Highidlespeedshouldbe3,350to3,550RPM.Adjustthethrottlestop
atthrottlelevertoattainthecorrecthighidlespeedsetting;referto
Operator’sManual.
IMPORTANT
Theenginegovernorcontrolisequippedwithatamperresistant
captopreventadjustmentonahighidlespeed.Modicationtothis
capwillvoidtheenginewarrantyandlikelywillmaketheengine
non-compliantwiththeemissioncerticationoftheengine.
