RemovingtheIdlerAssembly
1.Removethereeldrivefromthecuttingunit;refertoRemovingtheReel
Assembly(page8–14).
2.Removethegroomerreelassembly;refertoRemovingtheGroomerReel
(page9–15).
3.Removethecotterpinandclevispinfromtheheightadjustmentrodatthe
frontoftheidlerarm.Discardthecotterpin.
4.Removethetwosocket-headscrewsthatsecurethemotoradaptertothe
cuttingunit,andremovetheadapterandidlerassembly.Retrieveand
discardtheO-ringandlocknuts.
5.Inspecttheshields,bearing,andbushingintheidlerassembly.Removeand
discardthecomponentsthatarewornordamaged.
InstallingtheIdlerAssembly
1.Iftheshields,bearing,orbushingwasremovedfromtheidlerarm,install
newcomponentsasfollows:
A.Pressthebushingintoagroomerplateuntilthebushingiscenteredin
theidlerarmbore.
B.Pressthebearingintotheidlerarmsothatthebearingcontactsthe
shoulderinidlerarmboreandinstallthebearingretainingring.
