1.Securethereelcable(item1inFigure54)tothetractionleverassemblyas
follows:
A.Installthecablespring(3)totheclevisconnector(10)onthereellever
assembly(7).Orientatethecablespringhookendtowardfrontofthe
machine.
B.Slidethecable(1)intotheupperreceiverweldment(12).Ensurethatthe
jamnut(2),atwasherandlockwasherareonbothsidesofthebracket.
Adjustjamnutssothatequalamountofcablethreadsarevisibleabove
thejamnuts.Leavethejamnutssnuguntilnalcableadjustment.
2.Routethereelcabletothereelselectorassembly(item2inFigure55)and
installthereelcable(4)asfollows:
A.Slidethecableeyelettothereelselectorassembly(2)andsecurewith
aretainingring(1).
B.Positionthereelcable(4)tothecastingslotoftheenginebasewitha
jamnut(3),atwasherandalockwasheroneachsideoftheslot.
3.Makenaladjustmentofthereelcableatthereelcableleverassembly.
Adjustthecablejamnutstoremovetheslackintheclutchcable.
4.Checkthereelcableadjustment;refertoOperator’sManual.
5.Installthelowercoverandcontrolcovertothehandleassembly.
6.Attachthesparkplugwiretotheenginesparkplug.
